Benefits of Flyscreens

Flyscreens are an essential addition to any home because they let you enjoy fresh air without worrying about insects and pests. Especially during the warmer months, flies, mosquitoes, and other bugs can quickly become a nuisance, carrying bacteria and making it uncomfortable to keep windows and doors open. A quality flyscreen acts as a barrier, allowing natural ventilation while protecting your family’s health and comfort.

Beyond keeping insects out, flyscreens help improve the overall indoor environment. They filter dust and debris carried by the breeze, reducing allergens that can trigger respiratory issues. Many modern flyscreens are designed with fine mesh that doesn’t obstruct your view or airflow, so you can keep your living spaces bright, airy, and clean all year round.

Flyscreens are also a smart investment in the value and functionality of your property. They are discreet, easy to maintain, and custom-made to fit any window or door. Whether you live in the city or the countryside, installing flyscreens is a simple way to create a healthier, more comfortable home environment without compromising on style.

Yes—sliding flyscreens are specifically designed for ranch sliders and large openings.

You can simply wipe the mesh with a damp cloth, and it’s also fine to wash the tracks with water if needed. Please note that cleaning may remove some of the lubrication applied to keep the components moving smoothly, so we recommend spraying silicone lubricant on the tracks after cleaning. Even if you don’t clean them regularly, applying silicone spray once a month can help prevent wear and keep everything operating properly.

The standard frame colours are white, silver, and black. If you’d like a different finish, we also offer powder coating in custom colours for an additional cost.
